I've got a pet gerbil and I decided to see if he wanted to come out of his cage for a bit seeing as he's starting to get used to me now, but he decided to just out of my hand when I eventually got him out. Does anyone have any ideas how to catch gerbils? Thanks.
put the cage if it has a door on the side one the floor with the door open. If it does not then get a box and put food in the verry back and wait. It will go to eat the food and you will hear it scratching the box andrun to get it before it runs off.
*sad* He's still not come back and I've tried leaving the cage on its side and leaving food in there so he can just go in when he nts and putting his tunnel on the floor and locking 1 end of it then leving bits of food in there for him. Well he couldn't get in his cage because his door was too high up and he just keeps taking the fiid out of the tunnel and running off again. No one will help me look for him in case he bites them and no one round here is able to lift my sofa up so we can get him if he goes underneath it. Anyone got any more ideas?
Well I managed to get someone from college to help me find him this morning. I couldn't think of anything else to do.
thats good, maybe if it happens again you can rig it up so if he goes in a chage the door will fall and trap him inside.
